Healthcare Leadership Academy for Women: Leading Authentically: Know your Worth

 

Dates: January 11 - February 16, 2023   

Sessions will be held on Wednesdays and Thursdays from 3pm – 5pm Eastern

January 11 & 12; January 18 & 19; January 25 & 26; Feb 8 & 9; Feb 15 & 16. Individual coaching sessions scheduled for Jan 30-Feb 3

 

 

Do You Want to Lead Authentically?

Strong leadership skills are essential to career advancement and personal and professional fulfillment. Recognizing women face a unique set of challenges, the Jefferson College of Population Health designed this six-week live online professional development program to address those challenges and provide the tools, resources, and strategies necessary to advance women as leaders.

 

Are you aspiring to a new leadership role or already in a formal position and planning the next transition? Do you want to know how to support women as leaders within your organization?

Over six consecutive weeks, The Healthcare Leadership Academy for Women will address the professional and personal skills required to lead in today's complex health care environment and give you the confidence, expertise, and know-how to take that next important step in your career.  

 

What You’ll Learn

This interactive, professional development program (maximum class size of 20) is designed for a personal approach for teaching the crucial communication skills required to lead a team and influence change within an organization.

  • How to flex personality preferences and leadership styles using learning from the Myers Briggs Type Indicator (MBTI®) and Emotional Quotient Instrument (EQi-2.0©) assessments
  • Why leveraging connection, courage and accountability can influence and develop a team and impact organizational culture
  • How to actively plan your career path, identify challenges, and develop strategies to address them
  • The importance of Allyship in gender equity and the tools for speaking up
  • How to inspire other women to lead through storytelling, highlighting triumphs and challenges
  • The process and benefits of self-coaching and development planning to advance career opportunities
  • How to utilize negotiation skills to achieve shared interests and influence highly collaborative teams
  • How to lead through uncertainty and the importance of practicing self-care
  • How to flex personality preferences and leadership styles using learning from the Myers Briggs Type Indicator (MBTI®) and enhance Emotional Intelligence with the EQi-2.0® assessment

 

Schedule, Topics & Faculty

The program will be offered in 2-hour sessions, delivered twice a week, over 6 weeks. Sessions take place from 3:00 – 5:00 PM Eastern except for individual debriefing and coaching sessions scheduled the week of February 13th*.

    • Access to the Myers Briggs Type Indicator (MBTI®) assessment to learn your personality type and leadership style in a group debriefing and discussion session, interpreted by a qualified practitioner
    • Access to the Emotional Quotient Instrument (EQi-2.0®) assessment including a personalized and in-depth debrief and coaching session with a certified practitioner
    • Online access to coursework and materials, during and for 6 months after the program
